Website care plans

WordPress maintenance
and SEO, handled monthly

Backups, updates, and content edits so your site stays safe and current. Add keyword research, monthly writing, and analytics when you want it working harder. Month to month, no contract.

What happens to a WordPress site nobody maintains

Plugins and core release updates constantly, and each one you skip widens the gap between what your site runs on and what is supported. A year of skipped updates is the most common reason a small business site gets hacked or simply stops working after a PHP upgrade.

The quieter cost is content. Hours change, prices move, a service gets dropped, and nobody updates the site because it feels like a chore worth putting off.

What a plan takes off your plate

  • Someone testing your site after every update, not just applying them
  • A backup you can actually roll back to, stored off your host
  • Small edits done by email rather than added to your list
  • On Growth, search work that compounds instead of stalling at launch

The Plans

Two plans, one decision

Essentials keeps the site healthy. Growth adds the search work that brings new people to it.
Move between them or stop any month.

Essentials

Keeps your site safe, current, and easy to tweak. For businesses whose site needs to stay working, not growing.

$50 per month

  • Weekly off-site backups you can roll back to
  • WordPress core, theme, and plugin updates, tested after each one
  • Security and uptime monitoring
  • Two content edits a month — swap copy, change a photo, update your hours

How it runs

What a month on a plan looks like

Week 1

Backup taken, updates applied on staging, site tested, then pushed live. You hear from us only if something needs a decision.

Updates & checks

Week 2

Send changes whenever they come up. New prices, a staff photo, a service you no longer offer — turned around within a business day.

Your edits

Week 3

On Growth: keyword research, page updates where the data points, and the month’s blog post drafted and published.

Search work

Week 4

On Growth: a report on traffic, rankings, and enquiries, with what we plan to do next.

Care plan questions

Do I have to sign a contract?

No. Both plans are month to month. Cancel or switch between them with a month’s notice, and your site stays yours either way.

Not required. But a WordPress site does need updating and backing up by someone, so if you are not doing it yourself, it is worth having covered. Growth is the one to consider if you want the site actively bringing in enquiries.

Text changes, swapping images, updating prices or hours, adding a team member, publishing something you have written. New page layouts or new features are project work, and we will quote those separately before starting.

Usually yes, for WordPress sites. We start with an audit to see what state it is in. If it is carrying serious technical debt, we will tell you what needs fixing before a plan makes sense.

Local search improvements from a properly managed Google Business Profile can show within weeks. Ranking for competitive terms takes months of consistent content, which is why Growth is a plan rather than a one-off. Anyone promising faster is guessing.

Either way works. If you would rather not deal with it, we will host and manage the site as part of your plan. If you prefer to own the hosting account yourself, we manage the site on top of whatever host you use and will recommend one if you are choosing. If we host for you and you later cancel, we transfer everything — site, database, and domain — to an account in your name.

Updates go onto a staging copy first, so most problems never reach your live site. If something does slip through, we roll back to the last backup and fix it at no extra charge.
